Hannah – Duinrell

I started working for Canvas Holidays back in 2015 as a courier. I started my first season on Duinrell a big team site for Canvas. I choose it due to holidaying there as a child with Canvas and had amazing memories of the reps and wanted to be able to do that for other families. In my first season I loved the job a lot and knew I wanted to progress with Canvas Holidays. My second season I did on La Croix Du Vieux Pont in France which was very different but we had an amazing team many of who I am still in contact with now. I then returned to Duinrell for my third season with the intention of learning as much as I could about the job in order to progress.  My role as a courier was very varied but I loved the challenge! One of the best parts about the job is getting out and about! I love visiting customer making sure they are having the best time possible. I also love problem solving which you can deal with on a daily basis!

On my 4th season I applied for and got a senior courier position located in the Loire Valley. I did montage on a few sites before reaching my own and I loved getting out and about and seeing all the different campsites! They are all different and unique in their own way and I loved getting to see this. Once on my own site I progressed further with Canvas and they asked me to look after the campsites in the Loire, I loved this responsibility and every day was different. I was lucky enough to extend my season and complete the rest of my season on La Croix Du Vieux Pont, Having worked there previously I knew my way around and I got to work with some familiar faces.

On my 5th season I was lucky enough to get the Site Manager position on my favourite campsite Duinrell. I am currently half way through my season now and loving every minute of it! One of the best things about the job I find is that although some days are hard you are rewarded for all your effort. Not only do you feel part of a team with the people you work with on-site daily but you also feel part of the team with the staff back in the UK.  In this job no two days are the same which makes work very enjoyable! You become part of the camping world also in which you will meet many different faces and cross paths in many different countries! I always recommended this job to my friends and family and hope to continue to do it for many years! I am lucky enough to do this job with my dog Lola in tow and she loves every minute of it!
